What the card shows
A young man between two women, and above them an angel drawing his bow. In the Tarot de Marseille the card speaks less of the couple than of choice: which way does the heart lean?
Upright
The heart’s choice, attraction, agreement with oneself.
Reversed
Indecision, being torn, a choice made against oneself.
In love
A strong attraction, or a choice between two people, two paths.
At work
A partnership, a decision between two equal options.
Choose what is like you, not what is expected of you.

The Choice
This isn't a choice between two options. It's a choice between two versions of you. Which one do you want to become?
