The High Priestess
Intuition, mystery, hidden knowledge
Associated planet: Moon
What the card shows
A seated, veiled woman with an open book on her lap. She keeps a knowledge she does not give away at once. In the Tarot de Marseille she wears the papal tiara: a feminine spiritual authority, keeper of the secret.
Upright
Intuition, study, a silence that ripens. What is understood before it is said.
Reversed
A burdensome secret, withdrawal, an intuition one refuses to hear.
In love
Unspoken feelings, a bond built slowly, away from other eyes.
At work
A time for analysis and learning; information still hidden.
Be silent a while and listen to what you already know.
